Since 2013, EHS has proudly staged six full-scale musical productions, bringing together the talents of our learners, staff and professional musicians in spectacular live performances. Our productions have included Little Shop of Horrors, Hello, Dolly!, Grease, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, and Annie.
Our musicals give learners from all grades the opportunity to take part in a professional-style theatrical experience, whether on stage or as part of the wider production team. Casting takes place through a formal audition process, letting learners showcase their talents, develop their confidence and experience the rewards of working as part of a large ensemble.
With a commitment to maintaining this proud tradition, EHS will continue to stage a full-scale musical every three years.

The EHS Orchestra is a vibrant and growing ensemble of more than 40 learners, bringing together musicians from across the school to develop their musical skills, build confidence and enjoy performing as part of a large ensemble.
The orchestra features a diverse range of instruments, including strings such as violin and cello; woodwinds including flute, clarinet, alto saxophone and tenor saxophone; and brass instruments such as trumpet and trombone, supported by keyboard, bass and percussion for a rich, versatile sound.

The EHS Choir is an exciting extracurricular opportunity open to learners across the school. Participation is subject to an audition, giving learners the chance to develop their vocal skills, confidence and ensemble performance experience.
Through regular rehearsals and performances, choir members experience the joy of making music together while building teamwork, discipline and a strong sense of community.
Open to all pupils in the school, the Guitar Ensemble comprises classical guitarists who perform at various events throughout the year. In some instances an audition may be required. All members of the ensemble must be able to read music.

Through our collaboration with Marimba JAM, EHS learners have the opportunity to experience the joy of making music together in a fun, energetic and inclusive extracurricular programme.
Open to learners across the school, the programme provides an engaging introduction to marimba playing while encouraging teamwork, creativity and a love of music. No previous musical experience is required, making it accessible to everyone. Participation is offered at a termly fee, payable directly to Marimba JAM.
