Cultural life at Edgemead builds leadership, self-confidence and social awareness on stage, in the choir and beyond.
Getting involved in culture teaches pupils to work together and develops leadership, self-confidence and social awareness. We provide places where pupils can take part at every level, from the ambitious and talented to those who simply want to enjoy an activity socially.

Choir, bands and ensembles, with pupils reaching provincial and international selection.
Debating, Interact, eSports and a wide range of interest groups.
Visual art and creative subjects across all grades.
EHS pupils staged Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to full houses.
Brooklyn Cronje was selected for the Tygerberg Children’s Choir UK tour.
The Unity band won the KFM competition and performed at K-Day.
Charné Jupp’s group scored 92% in the Trinity Grade 6 exam.
Zena Marks and Conner Vermeulen auditioned for the Cape Philharmonic Youth ensembles.
Grade 12 drama and music pupils visited the LAMTA academy in Camps Bay.
